Most schools have a dress code us students have to follow. But when you actually sit down and read most of the dress codes made for schools it is geared mostly towards young women. I personally don’t agree with the “no crop tops or no halter tops”. a young girl’s belly button and shoulders should not be sexualized. It’s funny how you never see male students get in trouble for what they are wearing yet They do have dress code rules for boys like their pants can’t be too big or sag but you never see them enforce the rules. Guys can come to school with a musicale t-shirt on but when us girls try to wear a tank top made for girls to wear “we are showing too much”. Nothing about our body’s are “distracting” instead of telling young females to “cover up” tell the males to stop making our body’s a big deal.
