OHS Dress up Week

How should you dress up?

The dress up week starts September 20th to the 24th. I asked two students what their opinion on the dress up days “I think it’s fun because it lets student’s express themselves in different ways”, Nataly Pelayo ( a sophomore) said and “I think it’s cool how they choose themes to dress up as”, Hannah Dotson ( a freshman) said. The first day is red, white, and blue day. That day you should wear a red, white, or blue shirt with a pair of jeans or you could wear red or blue pants with a white shirt. The second dress up day is tacky tourist day. So to dress up you can wear khaki pants or shorts with a plain shirt and if you want to be extra you can wear a fanny pack. The third day is to dress up as someone or something that starts with the first letter of your name. In my case it would be the letter A, so I could dress up an alien or an actor. Another example is if your name starts with an N you could dress up as a nerd or you could wear a nightgown. The fourth day is class colors. The brahman class colors are purple and gold, so you can wear a purple or gold shirt with jeans. The fifth and final last day is season day. Each grade has a different season to dress up as. Freshman’s have Spring, Sophomores have winter, Juniors have fall, and Seniors have summer. So if you’re a freshman you could wear a floral or pastel shirt with jean shorts or a skirt, if you’re a sophomore you could wear a sweater or hoodie with leggings or jeans, if you’re a junior you could wear darker, more neutral colors like brown, gray, or just earthy colors with some jeans, Lastly if you’re a senior you could wear a flowy dress or jean shorts with a tank top.
