Poetry Club

Poetry is an form of literature used to express more emotional and inner thoughts more that definitive or nonfiction. Using it properly is a great way of letting your thoughts and expressions onto a page, a good way to vent your feelings. Creating a club to help gather literature-invested students for the purpose of encouraging them to use and interpret is helpful as it creates a fun way to provide your thoughts on a subject in a creative and subjective way.

Students appreciate poetry because it is a lot simpler and more unique than other forms of literature. It is also easier for them to get into, as it uses less attention-span skills. They enjoy using critical thinking skills in order to decipher hidden meanings within the text. It derives much more thought into understanding the metaphors or emotion between the lines, than understanding sheer definition.
