S.W.A.T or Students Working Against Tobacco.
The OHS SWAT club consists of people convincing students to quit or stay away from tobacco. It’s a club that works on having a tobacco-free future. They help teach students the dangers of tobacco and how it can affect their lives and those around them. Their goals are the education of the community about tobacco usage. To join SWAT, you have to attend a meeting, fill out and submit paperwork that can be found in Ms. Burlingame’s room.
Quotes from SWAT: “SWAT is more than a club, it’s a family,” Melany Anton (12th) said. “Together we strive for the healthiness of our community,” Lizbeth Soriano (12th) said.
