The preparation club is for the students that want to go to college. It helps them prepare for what they might find during the process of joining a college. It also helps the student join the college that they want to join. If they don’t have a college they want but they do want to go they help pick out a college that would be best for them. 9th to 12th grade can join the club. They would help anyone that is interested.

Some more information about the club. By Seyram Akahoho

We have a variety of first-generation students and individuals who do not have a guardian, friend, siblings, etc. who can guide them through the process. The College Preparation club allows all members to work together to fill out college applications, financial aid, and scholarships. In this club, we hope to achieve a developed knowledge in preparing for college and decrease the stress and anxiousness that comes with it. Some things we will do are study for the SAT/ACT, research community service opportunities, write resumes and personalize essays in which we will peer review, and many more. Junior and Senior year is extremely stressful and having the constant reminder of when things are due allow us to hold each other accountable in the club. In one of the first meetings, we will make a list of our top colleges and sign up for the Common App. In this club, we hope to have fun, release stress, and
simultaneously develop writing, collaboration, and time-management skills.
