The Anime Club and what their game tournaments are.
Anime club is a place to provide a safe space for kids and brings them out of their shells. While creating lasting friendships. It’s overall a space for all those interested in anime and manga, to share their interests and compete in gaming tournaments. They also get to go to Mycon Anime Conventions, which are paid through gaming tournament fundraisers. A friend of mine from Anime Club told me that,
“MyCon was my first anime convention, and it was definitely an interesting experience. I liked it,” Ryan Conner (12th) said.
To pay for this trip they hold a gaming tournament at the end of the year. Every year they do an annual Club Smash Bros Tournament Fundraiser, and this year I believe that they are also adding the game Jump Force into the mix. Anyone can join and it’s about a five-dollar entry to participate, and if that wasn’t convincing just keep in mind that Anime Club is really about finding a place to hang out, socialize and enjoy yourself.
“I like being there because I get to hang out with my friends. It is a very nice and chill place. The vibes are always calm and the people are pretty cool to talk to,” Elizabeth White (12th) said.
