Increasing Gpa

GPA, an abbreviation for grade point average is the total average of all letter grades in a length of time. This average can be used to describe a quarterly. semester, yearly, and total averages of all grades. Gpa is typically scored with a point system or a letter point system. The point system is an average of two or more percentages or points that are divided by a number of classes or periods. Some people do not check their GPA which can cause grade issues.  “I don’t even check my GPA,” George Seca said. This system can be used to predict semester grades and quarterly grades on a single class basis. For the letter point system which is used to track the overall grade between all classes, there are 3 letters which are A at 4 points, B at 3 points, C at 2, and D at 1. F is 0 because it is considered a failing grade. Some students do not do work which can cause an f. “We don’t do anything in this,” class said Jamarae Hardmon. To find the average add the grades from the classes according to this letter system and divide it by the total number of classes being counted. Most school systems use to track students’ grades instead of each individual class.  At Okeechobee High School the minimum average acceptable is 2.00 which is straight C’s. You can increase this score by doing the missing work and redoing assignments if possible.
