College Preparation Club

The OHS preparation club’s main goal is to encourage students to attend college and make the application process easier by providing guidance to students. Their meeting dates are every other Wednesday. Their current president is Seyram Akahoho and the vice president is Stephanie Alvarado. One of their big events is November 1 because of college applications due for most schools this day. Their goal for the year is for students to apply and get scholarships. To join you have to email the officers and have a 2.0 GPA. They currently only accept 11th and 12th graders. They want more people to join.

“Change your thoughts and change the world,” Seyram Akahoho (12th) said.

APPLY FOR A COLLEGE. Applying for a college can help you improve your future. This is one of many college flags on the college prep club’s wall. Before College Club, students had more trouble choosing their next school, but now it’s a lot easier to apply. “College Preparation Club will help guide you in creating a successful future,” Ms.LaFLam (club adviser) said.
