Information and answers from this year’s girls basketball coach
In the year of 2018, Jovanny Torres began coaching the Varsity team, he has now been a coach for three years going on his fourth year now. He has one of the best coaching records we have had which is averaging around 40-26 wins to losses. Some of Torres’s best coaching highlights were when the Brahmans won a district title, and championship trophy last year on February 5. 2021, and were scored as the number one team for the first time in 31 years. “For us to come and change that and not only get the No. 1 (district) seed and bring home a district title I couldn’t be more proud of my girls,” Torres said. He gave all the credit to winning that title his players he said, ““I gave them the game plan, but they’re the ones who came out and did it. I couldn’t be any more proud.”
