Okeechobee Brahman Band has the wonderful opportunity to go to state this year! The band has worked incredibly hard on and off the feild. Many of the band students are excited and nervous about the state. I asked one of the band members what is one way the band could improve before state? “One thing I think we can improve on is just having the full confidence in ourselves when we step out on the field. We have done great before, we can obviously do great and better now more than ever. And we will make it to finals. It’s not an ‘if we make it to finals’ it’s a ‘we will make it to finals” Caitlyn Recconella (11) siad. Last friday the band had a performance on our football field, their last one at home before their off to state. A lot of people ended up being there for their local band. I asked the band director how he thought the band could perform ¨The only thing the band needs to do to improve before our state competition, is focus on what they can control. These kids have put hours of work into perfecting this show and their hard work will definitely be on display in Ocala,¨ Cinton LaFlam said.Best of luck to the band!
