Talents

Everybody has some kind of talent, it could be solving a math problem super fast or juggling a bunch of apples. So when I say that Okeechobee has a lot of talent, I mean it! I interviewed a bunch of different people looking for a certain talent to talk about today, and I was blown away by some of the secret skills these kids are hiding from the world. A talent that’s personal, and that I heard a few more times than any other was the talent of art. From drawing to painting and even 3D sculpture, there was such a wide variety of artistic talents. I saw a real community of creative people come together and bask in this form of explanation. They all had different stories but one thing in common, art is one of their only escapes from the real world. I got to see some astonishing pieces, we are talking about bob ross on steroids kind of talent. Most of all though I was touched by how excepting they were of everyone. There is so much more than meets the eye, especially when it comes to why someone is good at something, maybe it’s their way of expressing them self or getting their anger out. Next time someone presents to your their special talent, try asking why. The answers you’ll receive are endless.
