Cross Country went to Wayne Cross on 8-31-22, The top 2 girl runners were Lindsey Saucedo and Callie Phillips. Lindsey had a time of 24:09 placing 7th and Callie Phillips had a time of 26:01 placing 15th. Connor Rucks and Wyatt Phillips were the top 2 boy runners. Connor had a time of 21:00 placing 10th and Wyatt had a time of 21:08 placing 11th. This was Cross Countries’ second meet of this season and so far Okeechobee is showing improvement from last year with no boy times over 26 minutes and no girl times over 33 minutes. We only had 1 boy runner in the top 10 and 1 girl runner in the top 10 but we will improve as time goes on. Runner Carlie Eaton who placed 25th and had a time of 27:33 said, “The team did great, the boy’s team got 2nd place and the girls team got 5th place, Conner Rucks got a medal for 10th place and Lindsey Saucedo got a medal for 7th place.”
