Stuco stands for student council, and it was founded in 1970 by John Dewey. Okeechobee uses the student council for events like homecoming and fundraising events. The student council lets people make big decisions that can affect the school but also helps people learn about proper and democratic decision-making. They decide what to do on homecoming like what to add or remove stuff from the event. Stuco can help you interact with people more. “The thing I like about Student Council is you can have your own opinion.” Hannah Adams (10) said. “You can always share your thoughts and people will listen.” Hannah Adams(10) said. So, the student council is a good club because people will always listen to you and give you thoughts about what you said.
