SWAT CLUB

The SWAT club is an after-school club here at the high school where students go to learn about and how to deal with issues with public speaking and tobacco. This year’s club advisor is Sr. Hays, he is well-known around the school as a funny guy and is sure to make the club a fun and safe environment for all the club members. The SWAT club usually sets up a Safety Expo at the Ag-Civic center in January every year. They have a booth with free swat items that they hand out and answer questions related to tobacco-related problems. The SWAT club also usually participates in the Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is a foundation that conducts fundraisers where all the money that is collected is used to help people who are in need of food, shelter, and other basic necessities. Although this year the SWAT club has its eyes set on taking part in “Not a Lab Rat” which will be happening on (October 19, 2022) and also the “Red Ribbon Week” which will be (October 23-31, 2022). SWAT club this year will be filled with things to do and activities to partake in so its a good idea to keep an eye out for them.

“We hope to be able to educate the community about SWAT’s mission this year,” Shawn Hays said.
