Our library offers a safe and peaceful place where we can do school work and projects. Using the school library provides numerous resources for students. The library offers students a place to check out books or work on schoolwork. Our library also provides students access to computers. We can use these computers to find more information on the topics we’re working on or the books we also have access to that provide more information. “The library offers me the availability of free books and free internet. It offers me a place to go to study which essentially is useful for my school life,” Jasmine Catalan (12) said. The library allows us to communicate with one another, students come from different ethnicities by sitting, reading, and sharing thoughts together. Our library help improves students’ interest in studies. Our school librarian can suggest new books and resources to stretch students’ boundaries and help them grow as learners. Our library is a great chance to provide a tutoring space for struggling students. “It provides silence and a sort of peace and calmness that you can bask in,” Hannah Rathbun(12) said. Tutors and students can meet in a trusting environment that allows for open questions. Not to mention without having to worry about other classmates’ interruptions.
