National Honor Society is a club that was established in 1921 by NASSP. This club does activities like helping out with the backpack program, they do many fundraisers, and have many leadership opportunities. To join this club at OHS you need a 3.5 GPA, good leadership skills, and you must be invited. The club advisor for NHS is currently Wendy Reister.
“Being in the National Honors Society Club has been a great learning experience for me. I get to use the skills that I have learned in the club and use them in the real world. Staying after school to help pack for the club is always fun and a great experience. It has been a true honor and privilege to be doing what I do. If anyone were to ever want to join NHS, I definitely would recommend doing so! It gives you the opportunity to meet and make new friends. It’s also a great way to take a break from your studies,” Ashley Garcia Reyes (12) said.
