Why should one join the drama club? What are the advantages of integrating it?

“Theatre is always been a part of who I am as a person; everything just made sense when I started doing plays and hanging out with people with similar interest. Mamma Mia is probably the most memorable experience of my life.” Diana Rodriguez (12th) said.


“To me I feel that it’s important to be in theatre because it helps a person get out of their comfort zone. It’s a place where you can truly be yourself.” Mia Benitez (11th) said.
This club can “scare” some people because they fear having to play in front of an audience. But precisely, it will help you to surpass yourself and to face your fears. By having to perform in front of an audience, you will learn to control your stress and will be less and less stressed at the idea of having to speak in front of a lot of people. “Theatre pushes you to be yourself and makes you comfortable to be yourself around others.” Angelina Rosa (11th) said. It will also help you fight your shyness and get out of your comfort zone to discover new things. If you hesitate to join a theater club, it’s probably because the world of the seventh art is a subject and an environment that interests you. If you join this club, you will be surrounded by people who share the same passion as you and perhaps make new friends. ” Theatre is the only place I feel truly accepted. It has helped me grow and I become a braver person. Everybody should take the chance of joining. Rain Huffman (11th) said. Then when you play your character, it will allow you during the time of your scene, to escape and not think about your problems. Because during this time, you will be in the shoes of someone else, with another personality, in another world and you will even wear costumes, isn’t that exciting?
