Yo, yo, welcome back to another post about social studies! This week’s class we’re looking into is Multicultural Studies.
The unit currently being instructed in class this week is Woman’s History. This unit is meant to give an in-depth look into the women who changed the world through inventions, pioneer movements, and the freedom and rights of women and all of humanity. This unit is significant in the course because it provides a deep dive into the history of women as a whole, which history sometimes overlooks when sharing struggles for change. The unit is also essential in learning about how women are within the world.
Now, here’s a quote from the teacher of the course, Mr. Welch, that relates to the current unit.
“Some women are meant to change the world while some are meant to hold it together,” Mr. Welch (10) said.
