What is HOSA? HOSA stands for Health Occupations Students of America. Being in HOSA gives you the opportunity to participate in many activities. Some of these activities include blood drives, Okeechobee Family Health and Safety Expo, Thanksgiving food drive, and Region IV competitions. Being in HOSA provides leadership development, motivation, self-worth, and commitment to the development of the whole person. HOSA helps promote career opportunities in healthcare and enhance quality healthcare delivery to all people. HOSA was organized at a Constitutional Convention held in Arlington, Texas in November 1976. To join Mrs. Skeen’s class for the CNA certification, you need to have been or be a HOSA member for at least two years.
“The hands of HOSA mold the health of tomorrow,” Maylin Campos (12) said.

Donating blood could save someone’s life.
