Why are students late to class? This is a recurring problem around campus. Being late is one thing that many people do at Okeechobee High School. Sometimes it isn’t intentional. Most of the time, kids stand around talking to their friends and lose track of time. Other times people are just late to be late or don’t want to attend class. Being late is not good because if you have more than nine then you will have ISS for every other tardy after that. Most people stand in the corner of the stairwells and talk or around the courtyard. “Talking to your friends can be done anytime else after school but attending your classes on time is important so you don’t have to sit in ISS.” Keilah Mora (10) said. So therefore we as students need to get to class on time and associate later because it is not worth sitting in ISS for.
