Something that students are encouraged to do in high school is to check their email. You would be surprised at the amount of information that students miss just because they are not regularly checking their email.
Having the google mail app on your phone is a huge benefit because it will send a notification to your phone. Which makes it way easier since students are constantly on their phones.
A lot of students use google mail to talk to teachers if they ever need to. For example, if a student misses a school day they can just send them an email asking for the days lesson.
“I use the app to easily and quickly access emails/school updates. I also use it to email my friend who doesn’t have a phone so we communicate through email.” Alondra Aguirre (10) said. Overall, having the google app helps students stay on top of school announcements and may even be an alternative way to communicate with friends.
