On Thursday this week, 11 years ago Steve Jobs, the co-founder of the globally successful technology business Apple Inc. passed away on October 5th, 2011, Steve Jobs died at the age of 56 from pancreatic cancer. Apple Inc. was a major success and specialized in computers, coding, music, phones, and more. One of the most known products of Apple is the iPhone, a cellphone and one of the first of its kind that is compact and still practical. An idea that branched off of the iPhone was the iPad, a wider screen, bigger size, but still compact, basically an iPhone with more surface area and screen space. Steve Jobs was a big contribution to the company, giving many creative ideas and products to be produced and sold. It was said that he knew what the customers wanted before they even knew it themselves. Fun fact, Steve Jobs was also Disney’s largest shareholder, after rebranding a small filmmaker studio into what is known today as Pixar Animation Studios then the studio was purchased by Walt Disney for more than 7$ billion dollars for its first-ever feature-length animation “Toy Story.”
“I really thought Steve Jobs was going to be what Elon Musk is today,” Carlos Flores (11) said.
