The stage manager is the person who supports and organizes all the different teams involved in running a theater production from rehearsals. Usually they work with a director and other artists to keep the production organized and on schedule. They also facilitate communication across all creative and technical departments. They also program and animate the rehearsals,
coordinate the work of the stage crew. They are the ones who will decide on the call signals and possibly the entrances of actors during the performance.
