Mark your calendars!
At the last Beta club meeting, some of the following things were talked about.
- Sock drive
- Pumpkin painting with senior citizens
- Beta club shirts
“BETA allows its members to go about the community and provide assistance to whoever needs it. It lets students acknowledge the importance of helping out for the greater good through genuine intentions to help out. The club opens the doors to interaction, communication, and connection to more of the community here in Okeechobee,” Joshua Viray (12) said.
Sock drive
The sock drive started on October 12 and will continue through October 26. The socks will be collected in your homeroom class. For Beta members, this will count as a fundraising credit if you turn in four pairs of socks. The socks collected will be given to elementary schools in Okeechobee.

Pumpkin painting
The Beta club pumpkin painting project will be held on October 26 at 3:15 p.m. The location of this project will be the Okeechobee Healthcare Facility. You need to bring your own SMALL pumpkin to decorate, but all the painting supplies will be provided.
