What’s Happening In CTE Courses This Week

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to this week’s edition of “What’s Happening In CTE Courses This Week” This week, our lineup includes the Agricultural Mechanics course and the Health Science course. Let’s dive in, shall we?

In Ag Mechanics: Mr. Thompson is teaching his students about DC voltage, or otherwise known as Direct Current. You can find this type of voltage in your car or any other appliances, but not a house or anything in that area. Houses uses AC, or Alternating Current, meaning it can alternate the number of volts the house is getting.

And in Health Science: Ms. Skeen, the Health Science Instructor, is helping her students are reviewing key anatomy and physiology point in preparation for learning how to take vitals and getting CPR certified.

“My students tend to enjoy that sort of thing”, Clinton Thompson (Ag Mech. Instructor) said.


Here, students are learning about DC voltage, as well as how to connect wires to both terminals.
