On the day Wednesday, October 26 the Beta club had the opportunity to paint pumpkins with the senior residents at the Okeechobee Healthcare Facility. By participating in this project, they were able to learn about the senior residents and keep them company. Some residents don’t have any family to come and talk to them, so doing this activity was a great way to help the residents. The Beta club members were able to learn about these residents. One Beta member was assigned to one resident. They collaborated with the residents to decide how to paint them. After they were done painting the pumpkins, each member stood up and introduced their resident and what they learned about them during the time. The pumpkins stayed at the healthcare facility.

“I had a lot of fun & really felt like I bonded with my resident. I also really loved the music they were playing,” said Edith Ramirez (10)
