Multicultural Studies about Blacks

Hello there, welcome to another post where we look into the classes relating to Social Studies and see what’s happening. This week, we’re continuing with Multicultural Studies. The class is still currently doing lessons in Unit 3, the history of African Americans.

“Tomorrow the students will be working on a PowerPoint project in Unit 3,” Mr. Welch said, who is the teacher of the course. Sometime next week, there also will be an exam finishing off the unit. An important figure who was mentioned in the notes for the class was Frederick Douglass. Frederick Douglass was known for being a leader of the abolitionist movement and was nominated as the first African American vice president for the United States. He is also known for his efforts for pushing for equality and human rights until his death in 1865.
