Cross Country goes to the FHSAA 3A Regionals

BOCA RATON, Fla. (October 27th, 2022) – Okeechobee High School’s Men and Women’s team traveled to BOCA RATON, Fla. To compete in FHSAA 3A Regionals where they would both run 5K’s. Lindsey Saucedo led the way for the women’s team placing 45th out of 111 runners with a time of 21:39.30, This was Lindsey’s last meet of her high school career. Callie Phillips would finish a couple of places behind Lindsey placing 69th with a time of 22:54.10, This was also Callie’s last meet of her high school career. Carlie Eaton would finish in 84th with a time of 24:30.50, Leta Adamo finished right behind Carlie placing 85th with a time of 24:34.80, This was Leta’s last meet of her high school career. Macie Gatliff would finish in 105th place with a time of 28:16.10, This would also be Macie’s last meet of her high school season. Shyla Aguirre would finish it up for the Women’s team placing 111th with a time of 30:04.20. The Women’s team got a combined team score of 368 (42+65+80+81+100), Placing 15th out of 15 teams. The Men’s team would be next to run their 5K, Wyatt Phillips would lead the way for the Men’s team with a time of 19:43.80 placing 71st out of 109 runners. Conner Rucks would finish next with a time of 21:49.50 placing 91st, This would be his last meet of his high school career. Blayne Boyer would be next to finish with a time of 23:49.60 placing 103rd, Romin Rucks would finish right behind Blayne with a time of 23:49.60 placing 104th, Enoch Busbin would be the last to finish for the Men’s team right behind Romin with a time of 23:49.60 placing 105th. The Men’s team scored a 455 (68+87+99+100+101) in team score and placed 16th out of 16 teams.

These are pictures of the Men and Womans team for OHS right before they ran their 5K, Lindsey Saucedo led the way in her last career race and is the Womans team MVP. Wyatt Phillips led the way in his first regional race, He is the Mens team MVP.
