So, I’m supposed to be finding something that’s interesting that happened this week in the past, that has to do with Okeechobee. However I could not find something that happened this week in the past, but I did find something that happened last week in history. Did you know that Okeechobee county was formed on august 17, 1917? I did not, apparently back then are population was only 3,484 people, now were about 5,347. We were good for cattle, water, and a place to live. I’m glad to see that hasn’t changed. The only thing that’s changed would probably be that were growing Okeechobee a lot, not just in the population, but also structures, such as buildings. I wouldn’t be too surprised if Okeechobee continued to grow.
