Standardized tests are used to help pinpoint areas for improvement within students. They are useful for assessing student performance and evaluating the curriculum. Standardized testing consists of all the students responding to the same set of carefully selected questions. Here at OHS, we have a few upcoming standardized tests within the next few months. These include the first FAST ELA Progress Monitoring test on August 29, 2023. Then we have some re-do tests, like the make-up FAST ELA test on September 12th, and the EOC for Algebra 1 on the 19th of September. After this, we have the PSAT and the SAT, for seniors, on October 11th, 2023. Throughout the rest of the year, we will be taking multiple standardized tests, a few more specific dates include the Civics test on December 5th, the second FAST ELA Progress Monitoring test on January 16th, the Biology standardized test on May 8th, etc. We will have even more standardized tests besides these listed dates and they end in the same month school does, on the 16th of May in 2023.
