A common misconception is that the Debate Team isn’t a club. The Debate Team is a competitive team that competes, unlike clubs, which don’t compete.
“Honestly, I have no idea why I originally decided to sponsor the team; however, I love it. I enjoy watching the students working hard in different events and seeing their faces when they win,” Hollie Adams said.
This year the Debate Team is scheduled to compete in 12 tournaments all around the state this year. Last year there were only four members of the Debate Team. While there is no official roster yet, there is at least twice that number of students.
The first competition is at Apopka High school on September 30th.
