Standardized testing here at OHS has already begun as we have taken our first test of the year. On August 29th, 2023, all of the sophomores took the first FAST ELA Progress Monitoring exam for the school year. This test is used to monitor students’ current ELA level and will be taken two more times throughout the year. This is so that students are able to look back at their progress and make sure they are on the right track. Aliyah Weber-Howze says, “I think standardized testing is a long process but it’s a good one because then we know if we’re on grade level or not.” This test also has a make-up day, September 12th, for students who were not able to take it on the assigned day. The only next upcoming standardized test of this month will be the Algebra 1 EOC. After this month, we will have the PSAT on digital and SAT on paper on October 11th.
