Brahmans Love Learning About Labor Day

Monday, September 4, 2023, was a significant holiday. It was Labor Day! What’s Labor Day? Labor Day is a national holiday that was declared in 1894, and Labor Day became Labor Day because, in 1886, there was a violent clash between labor and the police during the Haymark Riot, when thousands of Chicagos workers came together and took the street to demand an 8-hour workday. Labor Day celebrates the struggles and gains made by the workers and the labor movement. This means that on Labor Day, which is always a Monday, we get the day off to recognize the workers contributing to our country. Labor Day is a fantastic holiday and I’m glad I can share it with you.“I’m really glad that Labor Day exists because it represents the growth and development of our country.” Salma Silva said.
