Does the name Santana Alvarez ring a bell? Many know him as Hollywood because of the way he plays on the field. It’s like a Hollywood action movie. Alvarez is a 5 ’11” senior Varsity football player at Okeechobee highschool who plays cornerback but you can catch him playing slot receiver also. Alvarez enjoys the competitiveness and the physicality of the sport. Santana’s favorite memory of the sport is meeting the people he calls his brother from playing with them at a young age to playing with them in his last year of high school. An athlete he looks up to is Richard Sherman who played for the Seattle Seahawks and retired March 8, 2022. Some hobbies Alvarez enjoys in his free time are chess, reading and field workouts. “To be the best you must work when nobody is watching you,” Alvarez said.
