This Monday was 9/11, 9/11 was a tragic event that took place on September 11, 2001. For those of you who don’t know what 9/11 is, it was a tragedy that took place 22 years ago at approximately 8:14 a.m., in New York. What had happened was that 19 terrorists hijacked 4 planes. Three of which were used to strike significant U.S. sites. American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 were flown into the World Trade Center’s North and South towers, killing over 2,996, and injuring a lot more. The other plane didn’t make it to its destination because the passengers fought back, causing the plane to crash in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. 9/11 affected all of America and more, even small towns like Okeechobee. This horrific event caused the U.S. to have stricter policies, especially towards terrorist attacks. “After 9/11, the United States of America will forever be changed”. Holly Moore said.
A helicopter is on its way to the Okeechobee airport. It is important that the Helicopter gets to its destination or the people won’t be very happy with the pilot.
