Carriss Johns, who is that you might ask? Carriss Johns is a 5’10” Senior who plays Varsity Football at Okeechobee High School. As one of the leaders on the currently 3-0 team Johns is known to push his team to be the best they can be on the field and in the classroom. Johns is rated as one of the top 5 rushers in the Treasure coast area followed by his quarterback Nimarion Bryant. The opinion of the city of Okeechobee is that he is one of the best running backs in Florida. Coach Bj Pryor says Carriss is a special talent and nobody on the team has a work ethic like Johns and that he is always looking to get better no matter the situation. One thing that Johns enjoys about the sport is getting in extra reps after practice with the ones that he calls his brothers. “to be the best you must practice and play like best,” Johns said.
