The cross country team had their first meet yesterday and most of them did well. The times for the boys are Landon Arrants 19:28, Angel Jaimes 20:34, Wyatt Phillips 20:56, Reed Pung 21:16, Jonathan Hernandez 21:18, Maddox Freightener 23:14, Randall Boyer 24:35, Joshua Sanatamaria 25:06, Colton Spooner 33:33. The times for the girls are Keira Sallete 27:12, Gaberiela Agurrie Garcia 27:4, Carlie Eaton 28:57.50, Eva Sanchez 28:58.80, Shyla Agurrie 29:47.20, Jacqueline Rivera Hernandez 32:09. The team score for the boys was 13 and they got first place. The boys team score was 29 and they got second place. They will have a meet Thursday September 14th. This meet will be harder with the amount of teams there are. They will be going to Avon Park High School and run 3 miles. They still hope to win even with the amount of other schools there are and how hard it’s gonna be. “ I think I did good for the first meet,” Joshua Santamaria said.
Shyla Aguirre is competing against other people from other schools. She did this to hopefully get a medal for top 10 runners.
