Meet our fellow OHS Varsity Volleyball player, Mamie Mccoy. Mccoy is a part of class ’24 ” and has been playing volleyball for ten years. As of this current season Mamie’s main position is the right side, which is also known as “the opposite side.” One thing she enjoys the most about her sport is that “it’s like a challenge, there’s always something to prove yourself in” Mccoy stated. Out of her ten years of playing Volleyball, her most memorable moment was ” The purple and white this year, it hit me that it was my last purple and white game, and that made it more special.” she says. An athlete that inspires her the most is, track star Sha’ Carri Richardson. A hobby that is favored by this player is knitting in her free time. Further on in her career, Mccoy would like to pursue psychology.
