College fair is this week and its exciting news for juniors who are interested in college. The college fair is September 22 at 8:00-10:00 am. There will be colleges, universities, and trade schools at the campus so students can be able to learn and ask questions about requirements on how to get in, what programs they offer, or if they’ll be assigned a mentor and many other different questions. I had interviewed 4 students about their thoughts about the college fair, what they were mostly excited to see, and if there was anything in particular they were hoping to learn. The first student I interviewed is Nicholas Woodhouse he said “I’m really excited because this year I’ve started looking more into colleges and which ones Im interested in, and its a good opportunity to have the people these colleges come so I can get first hand answers to questions that I have.” The second student is Addison Mosher she responded with “I think the college fair is a great opportunity for students such as myself to explore the different college options and find what will suit their needs and their GPA.” The third student is Devon Ferrell she said “Im feeling alright about the college fair? I’m mostly excited to speak to representatives from different universities to just kinda hear what they have to say about their school and programs.” The last student is Kaylee Varnell she said “Honestly I’m a little unsure, I’ve wanted to go to college that’s for sure but I’ve never really thought about where or what college, you know? I’m mostly just hoping to learn more about what each place has in store for their students. I’m also really curious about etiquette and exceptions that colleges hold. There’s also the aspect of what the college experience is like and whether it’s the same as it is portrayed in media because I feel like its very different.” After the college fair ended I asked them if the college fair helped with what they wanted to know and they all responded back saying it did help answer their questions they asked.
