The Okeechobee cross-country team had a meet at Avon Park yesterday. The boys got second place at the meet. The girls got second place as well at the meet. The times for the boys were, Landon Arrants 17:47:49, Wyatt Phillips 19:09:62, Jonathan Hernandez 20:40:98, Anthony Bonilla 20:57:05, Maddox Freightner 21:50.34, Randall Boyer 22:15.44, Joshua Santamaria 24:27.43, and Colton Spooner 30:03.24. The times for the girls were Carlie Eaton 26:12.22, Keira Sallette 26:21.34, Gabriela Aguirre Garcia 26:45.28, Eva Sanchez 27:28.04, Shyla Aguirre 28:35.10, and Jacqueline Hernandez 29:00.54. The boy’s team score was 53 so they did not win. The girl’s team score was 42 so they did not win. The boys are only running tomorrow on Saturday they will be running at 7:40 am. They hope to win this meet and will try their hardest. After this, they will not have a meet for a little time and for that off time, they will be training hard to win the next meet. Landon Arrants is getting ready to run against other opponents. He is doing this to hopefully beat all the other schools to win and get a medal.
