PSAT is next week on October 11 for juniors, the school district will be paying for juniors to have the opportunity to take the PSAT. The PSAT can help juniors qualify for the National Merit Scholarship through College Board. This week Friday October the 6th juniors got called out during half of our second period to do a practice test on a new website we’re going to take the PSAT on. The website that was used is called blue book. I interviewed a student Kaylee Varnell asking her if it was difficult to get on the website, she responded with “The instructions were very clear and easy to understand, it was also nice that it included the ability to practice test.” The website was used friday to get the students a better understanding of it before we take the PSAT because this is a brand new website the school district is using to take the test. The PSAT’s are taken for students like a dress rehearsal for the SAT. PSAT scores are not used for college admission but for students to get a better understanding of what questions may appear in the SAT.
