Brahmans Support With Pink Out Day

On October 6, 2023, Okeechobee High School held a pink out day for Breast Cancer. They did this because this month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Okeechobee High School supported breast cancer by holding a pep rally and having the students dress in all pink. Breast Cancer is a serious and unfortunate topic, according to The American Cancer Society’s ‘’estimates breast cancer in the United States for 2023:  Is About 297,790 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women.’’ “Breast Cancer Awareness Month serves as a powerful reminder of the strength that these individuals have while dealing with this challenging disease,” Grady Villarreal said. Breast Cancer is a very ugly disease, a person usually gets this disease by genetics, but if not genetically, it usually comes from a small bump that forms and becomes cancerous. Fortunately not very many people die from this disease and are able to fight it.
