Animals Showing Emotion

Like humans, animals have numerous ways of showing what they’re thinking/feeling. It may be more difficult for them to do so since they don’t have the ability to speak, but there are many other ways, nonetheless. For example, when a cat or dog meows or barks excessively, they may be hungry or want to play. If a more exotic pet, such as an iguana, shuts their eyes for a while (not sleeping), they may be stressed. “My dog, Dolly, runs around the house when she’s excited to see us. She also looks up at us as a way to say she wants to be petted,” Mackenzie Osteen said. Animals can be as expressive as us when it comes to emotion. It is easier for them to communicate by doing certain actions that may be exclusive to them.
