Meet our varsity Brahman swimmer, Sophia Caves. Sophia is a part of the ‘2026 sophomore class and has been an OHS swimmer for the count of two years. Currently, Caves has a time of 32.10 seconds for her 50-yard event, 1:13.66 for 100 yards, and 7:07.34 for 500 yards. Her position for this season is “freestyle”. What she enjoys most about being a part of the swim team is “Being able to look back and see how much progress I’ve made over the years” -quoted Caves. She also proceeds to tell us her most memorable moment was winning the 200-freestyle event for the first time at a meet. Sophia’s current hobbies are FFA and being around friends and family. An athlete who inspires Caves is her swim coach. “She used to swim for OHS, and she holds the record time for the girl’s 200 freestyle event for our school. She is also very kind and understanding towards her swimmers”-quoted Sophia Caves.
