This week I asked “dance or bonfire.” I was not very shocked with this week’s results, out of 46, only 8 people said dance. Most students on campus would rather go to the bonfire than the dance, which is understandable since the bonfire is a casual event. “The bonfire is so much more fun than the dance is,” Emmy White said. Although the dance is fun and all, the bonfire is just much more enjoyable for the students. I asked these students why they picked their respective choices, and I got a variety of answers. From the kids that picked the bonfire, there were a lot of things said, from “I like the bonfire more because all my friends go to it but not the homecoming dance” and “I just like big fires.” However, from the kids that picked the homecoming dance, I got answers like “I picked the homecoming dance because I like to dance” and “I’m going because my partner is going.”
