Vincent Cantalini, a strong young man, says that he is talented at playing football. He started playing football when he was five years old (played for Okeechobee Youth Football League) and is still currently playing football in his senior year of high school. That’s a lot of dedication if you ask me. Playing for 13 years is just wow! He started playing football because he would play with his dad and throw the football around and then he wanted to start playing for a team. With so many years of games and practice, sometimes Cantalini thinks about giving up because training is mentally hard but he always ends up thinking about the little him that wanted to play so bad and he thinks about how far he has come and wonders, why stop now? Also, as much as training is hard and demanding, it also serves as his escape from the world and it helps him to let go and relax. “My mind goes blank when I play,” Vincent Cantalini said. With his talent, he has hopes of achieving a scholarship for football, however, he doesn’t have a specific school in mind. He seems to be off to a great start though because he is contacting different schools and went to five different schools over the summer. Cantalini also got picked to go to Dallas Stadium in January to play in the Dream All American Bowl. With so much effort, dedication and perseverance, he is sure to achieve his goal of getting that scholarship.
