Most people have opinions about what animal makes the best pets, and usually the dispute is about whether cats and dogs are better. Everyone has their reasonings, such as cats being more calm but dogs being more outgoing. “In my opinion, dogs are better because they are more energetic. They are easier to play around with, like my dog, Scooby,” Kiersten Payne (10) said. A person’s personality also can determine whether they think cats or dogs or better. Extroverts tend to like dogs while introverts tend to like cats, but it can certainly be the other way around. People seem to be biased based on what animal they grew up with. It is good to listen to others’ arguments on the subject and know that all animals have their own interesting and good characteristics.
