Today in my social studies class we learned about the great underground railroad. We took notes and also had 2 assignments we had to do. Interesting fact that I learned about the railroad: People used train-themed codewords on the Underground Railroad. It was a way where people helped enslaved people in the American South escape to the North. Also it was a network of routes, places This really helped people escape war. Slaves also used this as an escape route from their masters. Another fun fact you should know is the Underground Railroad was not underground, and it wasn’t an actual train. It was a network of people, both whites and free Blacks, who worked together to help runaways from slaves holding.”A low grade is better than a zero”, Amanda meisel said.
