Energy Matters!

In Physical science we are learning about energy and the different modes of transfer through transformation or the use of simple machines. “Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another.” Einstein. Energy is like the fuel that helps things happen. It comes in different types, like motion energy, stored energy, heat energy, electricity, and more. When we need to move energy from one thing to another, we use different methods like touching (conduction), moving liquids or gasses (convection), or sending out waves (radiation). For example, when you touch a metal spoon in hot soup, heat moves from the soup to the spoon. Simple tools like levers, pulleys, ramps, and more help us move energy around more easily, like lifting heavy things or making tasks simpler. These tools show how we can change energy from one type to another to get things done more efficiently.
