I interviewed Qwtaysha Dingle, a 10th grader on the debate team. She joined the team because it creates confidence. She also says that it helps her with skills that she uses everyday. Her favorite parts of being on the team are the tournaments and teammates. “If one of us wins, we all win,” Qwtasysha said. She says that there isn’t any jealousy of anyone else’s victory, that they all give each other constructive criticism. She says the tournaments show her how other people view topics, and give her ideas.
